Serena Bocchino The Artist

Serena Bocchino The Artist
By Lisa Banner and Jonathan Goodman

An in-depth study of Bocchino’s essential works to date by Lisa Banner and Jonathan Goodman
Limited to 1,000 copies, each signed by Serena Bocchino.

This comprehensive artist monograph begins with a biographical essay by art critic and writer Jonathan Goodman who tells the story of the artist about her childhood growing up in an artist family and her experience of being through art movements beginning with the East Village and the excitement of being chosen to show her work in Italy when she was at a studio residency at PS1.

Arranged in chronological chapters by work groups, another essay of the book features art historian, Lisa A. Banner’s detailed analysis alongside over 100 full- color images, tracing Bocchino’s career from 1986 to today. Art lovers will find this publication to be not only a wonderful book-object, but also the first comprehensive study of the artist’s work ever published.
This new book spans 25 years and includes 140 pages of full color images and is written by Lisa A. Banner, Jonathan Goodman, Lily Zhang with foreword by Kathleen Goncharov
